I am a Senior Gameplay Engineer based in Lisbon, available for remote freelance contracts worldwide. With over 11 years of industry experience, my core expertise lies in C++ gameplay programming and AI architecture.
I’ve often been described as a “designer masquerading as a programmer”. That is to say, I care deeply about the feel of the game, not just the code behind it.
I started modding Starsiege: Tribes when I was 12. Then I moved over to Counter-Strike 1.6 map making, and eventually Source modding & Gmod. I have touched literally every genre of game development and every gameplay mechanic. Seriously. I've worked with Torque 3D and CryEngine 3, and I am intimately familiar with all low-level engine concepts, as well as mobile and VR development.
